Designed by architect Maurizio Lai, the AALTO – part of IYO space (320 sqm) is consistent with the philosophy of the boundless cuisine.

Natural materials, walnut wood, porphyry, brass, and leather combine with multiple suggestions. Materials and surfaces are composed and decomposed in a continuous dynamism that has a stable balance between visible and invisible.

The walnut tables, designed for the location, have been conceived as a neat chessboard. The butterfly plugs on the surface are decorated in brass underlining the wooden parts of the top. The porphyry shapes break down into geometric portions and are recomposed through brass decorations that reproduce the idea of kintsugi, the Japanese art of “repairing with gold”.

The space is equipped with an active sanification system to make guests live a unique experience with safety.
